Thanks for joining the SNUFFLE community. Our mission is to bridge the digital and physical worlds through a "Play by Day, Stay by Night" ecosystem. This policy explains how we protect your data while you explore your neighbourhood, collect breed cards, and book trusted care.

1. Who We Are

SNUFFLE is currently active in the European Union. The data controller responsible for your information is Studio Placemakers SL.

2. Where This Privacy Policy Applies

This policy applies to the SNUFFLE mobile application, website, and all associated services, including our AI powered breed discovery tools and community booking platform.

3. Information We Collect

To make the REVEAL, SPOT, PLAY loop possible, we collect data that allows for real time neighborhood discovery and secure pet care bookings.

Information you share with us:

  • Account Setup: Basic details for you and your pet (e.g., name, gender, age, personal interests).
  • Media Assets: Profile pictures and pet galleries. To use the AI Camera for the "SPOT" feature, you must grant access to your device’s camera.
  • Engagement Content: Information generated through our gamified features, including your BreedDex progress and collected Breed Cards.
  • Communication: Messages sent through our instant booking and chat system to coordinate playdates or stays.
  • Geolocation (Real Time): We collect high precision location data to show you on the live map and notify you of nearby "Reveal" opportunities.
  • AI Scanner Data: When you use the "SPOT" feature, our AI processes visual data from your camera to identify dog breeds. Note: We do not store biometric data of humans; our AI is strictly tuned to recognize canine characteristics.
  • Transaction Data: Information related to bookings, including "Cookie" reward balances and mobile payment history for Daystays or Overnight Stays.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to authenticate your session, remember your "Play by Day" progress, and analyze neighborhood traffic trends to improve the geolocation experience.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to power the unique Snuffle engagement loop:

  • REVEAL: To place you on the live map and enable "Spin to Flip" discovery.
  • SPOT: To run AI driven breed identification and update your digital BreedDex.
  • PLAY: To facilitate trusted neighborhood bookings for walks, playdates, and stays.
  • Safety & Trust: To verify the "Trusted Sitter" status and protect our Gen Z community from unauthorized activity.
  • Legal Basis: We process your data to fulfill our service contract with you and, where required (such as GPS and Camera access), based on your explicit Consent.

6. How We Share Information

  • With the Community: Your dog's profile and your general location are visible to other users to encourage neighborhood playdates.
  • With Booking Partners: When you book a "Stay by Night," your contact details are shared with the chosen sitter or owner to facilitate the care of your pet.
  • AI/Analytics Partners: We may share anonymized visual data with tech partners to improve our AI breed recognition accuracy.
  • Legal Compliance: We share data with authorities if required by law or to protect the safety of our users and their pets.

7. International Data Transfers

All data is stored and processed according to EU GDPR standards. If data is transferred outside the EEA, we utilize European Commission approved Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Your Rights & The BreedDex

You have full control over your digital footprint:

  • Geolocation Control: You can toggle your visibility on the map at any time, though this may disable "Reveal" and "Spot" features.
  • Data Portability: You can request a copy of your personal data and your BreedDex collection.
  • Right to Erasure: Deleting your account removes your profile from the community and the booking marketplace.

9. Protection & Security

We use world class security standards to protect our "digital dog neighborhood." Our systems are monitored for vulnerabilities to ensure the "Stay by Night" booking environment remains 100% secure.

10. Data Retention

We retain account data for the duration of your membership. Following account deletion, data is held for two months for safety reasons before being anonymized or removed.

11. Children & Family Safety

SNUFFLE is restricted to users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 must be accompanied by a family member when using the app’s outdoor "Spot" features.

12. Updates

As Snuffle introduces new "Engagement Layers," this policy will be updated.
